Week in the Mediterranean

Remember how excited I was about riding business class? Well just imagine how excited I was when we got to the airport to leave for Italy and our car pulls up next to a private plane. I'm pretty sure ecstatic would be an understatement.  I was taken by surprise, so I did not have my camera at the ready. I know, I know, I am failing on some big picture moments. I apologize. You will just have to settle for the couple I snapped in the plane.

Sardinia was fabulous. The hotel is small so there aren't a lot people wandering around and it has a private beach so its pretty relaxing and quiet. We had a villa overlooking the ocean, about 75 feet from the waters edge, with reserved seating and umbrellas on the beach for us. Sooo nice. The sun was hot, the ocean was cool, and the kids were angels (most of the time). Couldn't ask for a better week.
